Are dispensaries open on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day?
Massachusetts law shuts most stores on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day; elsewhere each shop decides. Juva closes on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day; Purple Lotus, KOLAS, Planet 13 and 420 Sahara say they open.
The short answers
- No state hours rule in the 21 states names a holiday, but Massachusetts's holiday law bars most stores from opening on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day without a permit. California allows sales from 6 am to 10 pm every day; New York bars 2 am to 8 am unless the town allows it.
- Fixed statewide windows elsewhere: Oregon 7 am to 10 pm, Ohio 7 am to 11 pm, Maryland 8 am to 11 pm, Washington 8 am to midnight, Illinois 6 am to 2 am, Connecticut 8 am to 10 pm (10 am to 6 pm on Sunday). Colorado and Minnesota bar overnight sales.
- Nevada, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri and New Mexico leave the clock to the store and its town; Arizona requires at least 30 open hours a week between 7 am and 10 pm. Florida, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma and Texas have medical programs only.
- Shops decide. Juva in Redwood City closes on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day each year. Purple Lotus in San Jose names Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day among the days it opens, and KOLAS in Sacramento says its hours include holidays.
- In Las Vegas, Planet 13 and 420 Sahara say they are open 24 hours, holidays included; CannaStarz and Nevada Made Charleston say 24 hours without naming holidays.
- Green Wednesday, 25 Nov 2026, is the busy day: Headset counted $114.0 million on 26 Nov 2025, second only to 4/20. Most listed shops post nothing about holidays, so check the shop's own page the day before and call.
Outside Massachusetts, each dispensary sets its own holiday hours. None of the state hours rules in the 21 states this guide covers mentions Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year's Day, so none of them closes the shops on those dates or orders them to open; Massachusetts's common day of rest law, a separate statute, bars most retail stores from opening on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day without a permit (M.G.L. c. 136, ss. 5, 13, 15 and 16). On 23 Oct 2026 this guide checked the websites of all 75 shops it lists. Juva in Redwood City says it closes on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day; Purple Lotus's two San Jose stores, KOLAS in Sacramento, and Planet 13 and 420 Sahara in Las Vegas say their hours include holidays. Most of the rest say nothing, which usually means normal hours but is not a promise.
Plan around the eve, not the holiday. Headset's point-of-sale data, on a page last updated 3 Oct 2026, put Green Wednesday 2025 (26 Nov) at $114.0 million across the 16 state markets it tracks, 1.7 times an average day and second only to 4/20, and its November 2024 analysis of 2023 sales found Thanksgiving Day sales as much as 70 percent below an average Thursday. This year Green Wednesday is 25 Nov 2026, so buy on Tuesday 24 Nov or early that Wednesday, inside the shop's normal hours, and expect a line.
The 2026 season runs Green Wednesday 25 Nov, Thanksgiving on Thursday 26 Nov, Christmas Eve on Thursday 24 Dec, Christmas Day on Friday 25 Dec, New Year's Eve on Thursday 31 Dec and New Year's Day on Friday 1 Jan 2027. None of these dates is a Sunday, so Connecticut's and Minnesota's Sunday limits do not touch them.
What the law says about hours, and what it does not say about holidays
California's clock is the same on every date of the year. A licensed retailer may sell and deliver cannabis goods only from 6 am to 10 pm Pacific time (4 CCR 15403), and the Department of Cannabis Control's retail page adds that an in-store sale must be finished by 10 pm, that delivery drivers must be back at the premises by then, and that a city or county may set tighter hours. Some cities do. Ukiah caps retailers at 9 am to 9 pm, seven days a week (City Code 9174.3), and Santa Rosa allows the same 9 to 9 window unless a permit sets fewer hours (City Code 20-46.080). San Diego (SDMC 141.0504(f)) and Los Angeles keep the state's 6 am to 10 pm, and the Los Angeles rules also require customers to leave within 15 minutes of closing. None of these rules names a holiday.
New York writes the hours into each license instead. A dispensary sells only during the hours stated in its license application or operating plan, inside the window that section 119.2 allows unless its town sets other hours, and it must post those hours where customers can see them inside the store (9 NYCRR 123.10(e)). Under 119.2, sales may not run from 2 am to 8 am unless the town consents in writing or adopts a local law permitting them, and a municipality may not hold a dispensary to fewer than 70 hours a week. That floor binds the town, not the shop. Delivery has no separate clock: it runs within the dispensary's own hours, even into a town whose stores close earlier (123.10). Neither section names a holiday.
So a closed door on Thanksgiving, or a late night on New Year's Eve, is the shop's own decision within those limits. Qube in Times Square listed store hours of 8 am to 2 am on its own site on 5 Oct 2026, a schedule New York's window allows; in California no store may sell after 10 pm on any night, 31 Dec 2026 included. The next section sets out the other 19 states this guide covers.

Sales hours in the other 19 states, and whether any closes on a holiday
Several adult-use states fix one statewide window for every date. Oregon retailers may sell from 7 am to 10 pm local time and may not have customers on the premises outside it (OAR 845-025-2800). Ohio allows 7 am to 11 pm and requires each dispensary to post its hours conspicuously (OAC 1301:18-8-02(G)), Maryland allows 8 am to 11 pm with the hours displayed at the main entrance (COMAR 14.17.12.09), and Washington allows 8 am to midnight (WAC 314-55-147). Illinois moved its closing time from 10 pm to 2 am in 2026, so a dispensary may now operate from 6 am to 2 am local time, subject to local zoning (410 ILCS 705/15-70(j)).
Connecticut and Minnesota add a Sunday rule. Connecticut retailers may sell from 8 am to 10 pm Monday to Saturday and from 10 am to 6 pm on Sunday, and a town may restrict hours further by zoning or ordinance (Conn. Gen. Stat. 21a-422f). Minnesota bars sales from 2 am to 8 am Monday to Saturday and from 2 am to 10 am on Sundays, and local ordinances may add a ban between 9 pm and 2 am, or between 8 am and 10 am Monday to Saturday (Minn. Stat. 342.27, subd. 7). Colorado bars sales from midnight to 8 am every day and lets local governments narrow hours further (1 CCR 212-3, Rule 3-245).
Elsewhere the store and its town set the clock. A Nevada store may sell only in the hours it gave the Cannabis Compliance Board, within what its city or county authorizes, and must post them at the entrance (NCCR 7.010, renumbered NAC 678B.300). New Jersey's commission says municipalities may regulate the hours of cannabis businesses, apart from a licensed delivery service's times of operation. Massachusetts leaves store hours to cities and towns under their power over the time, place and manner of operations (M.G.L. c. 94G, s. 3(a)(1)), Michigan gives a municipality the same power (MCL 333.27956), and Missouri's constitution gives local governments that power (Article XIV, Section 2.5(5)), while the state's dispensary rule sets no clock of its own (19 CSR 100-1.180). A New Mexico store sells only during the hours it reported to the Cannabis Control Division (16.8.2.40 NMAC), and local governments there may limit hours (26-2C-12). Arizona's rule sets a minimum, not a maximum: a store must be open at least 30 hours a week between 7 am and 10 pm and post its hours where people enter (A.A.C. R9-18-308).
None of these hours rules mentions a holiday, and California's and New York's do not either. Within its state and local window, each shop decides whether to open on 26 Nov, 24 and 25 Dec, 31 Dec and 1 Jan, and whether to close early, except in Massachusetts, where the common day of rest law bars most retail stores from opening on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day without a permit approved by the state labor department, while 1 January is exempt (M.G.L. c. 136, ss. 5, 13, 15 and 16).
Florida, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma and Texas sell only through medical programs, and visitors generally cannot buy. Florida treatment centers may not dispense from their premises between 9 pm and 7 am but may deliver to qualified patients around the clock (Fla. Stat. 381.986(8)(f)4). Pennsylvania's Medical Marijuana Act sets no sales window, though a physician or pharmacist must be available whenever a dispensary is open to patients (section 801(b)). Oklahoma's rules have each licensee report its hours of operation without setting a clock, and a patient holding another state's card may apply for an OMMA license valid up to 30 days. Texas's Compassionate-Use Act sets no dispensing hours. None of these four laws sets a holiday closure.

Which of the 75 listed shops say they close, and which say they open
On 23 Oct 2026 this guide checked the websites of all 75 shops it lists in 13 cities. One says it closes on set holidays every year: Juva in Redwood City, on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Five say their hours cover holidays: Purple Lotus's Commercial Street and Downtown stores in San Jose, open 365 days a year from 8 am to 10 pm and naming New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day; KOLAS in Sacramento, open daily from 7 am to 9 pm including holidays; and Planet 13 and 420 Sahara in Las Vegas, open 24 hours with holidays included. Phenotopia in Santa Rosa points shoppers to its Google profile for holiday hours, and the FAQ on March and Ash's site, which also carries the Puff-N-Dash City Heights page, warns that delivery capacity may be limited at busy times such as weekends or holidays.
Fifty-three shops post no holiday hours or closures on the pages checked, and the sites of 13 more could not be read on 23 Oct 2026; the city-by-city section names them all. Silence on a website is not a schedule. A shop that lists the same hours every day may still close early on Christmas Eve, so check its own page or call the day before.
SPARC Santa Rosa's notice could not be re-read. On 5 Oct 2026 its FAQ listed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day as closed and Christmas Eve as an early close. Its pages have since moved behind an age check, so ask the store directly about its 2026 holiday hours. On 5 Oct its store page also gave 10 am to 10 pm while its online ordering ran 9 am to 9 pm, so call before relying on either.

Las Vegas: which listed shops say they stay open on holidays
Nevada sets no statewide closing time. A Las Vegas store keeps the hours it filed with the Cannabis Compliance Board, inside what the city or Clark County authorizes, and posts them at the door (NCCR 7.010). On 23 Oct 2026 two of the eight Las Vegas shops this guide lists said in so many words that holidays are covered: Planet 13 says it is open every hour of every day, 365 days a year, holidays included, with drive-thru pickup until 11:45 pm, and 420 Sahara calls itself a 24-hour shop open every day, including all holidays.
CannaStarz and Nevada Made Marijuana Charleston also say they are open 24 hours, CannaStarz on its About page and Nevada Made as 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but neither mentions holidays. The Grove's site did not load on 23 Oct 2026. The other three keep set hours: Cultivate Spring Mountain 8 am to 3 am every day, Cookies Flamingo 8 am to 2 am, and Thrive Main Street 10 am to 10 pm Sunday to Thursday and 10 am to midnight on Friday and Saturday. Christmas Day and New Year's Day both fall on a Friday this season. None of those three pages mentions holidays.
Delivery from a Nevada store runs only during that store's hours and may not go to a property holding a gaming license, so casino hotels are out (NAC 678B.321, 678B.327). If you are staying in a casino hotel over the holidays, plan to collect in person.

What the 75 shops this guide lists say about the 2026 holidays, city by city
San Jose has 13 listed shops. Purple Lotus says its Commercial Street and Downtown stores, and its delivery service, are open 365 days a year from 8 am to 10 pm, and it names New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day among those days. Canna Culture Charter Park, Harborside San Jose, Elemental Wellness, STIIIZY Coleman, Haze on Almaden Road and on Saratoga Avenue, DELI San Jose Pullman, PLU2O, White Fire and Exotix post no holiday hours or closures for this season on their own sites. The Cake House's site did not load on 23 Oct 2026.
New York and the Bronx have four listed shops each. Nicklz Times Square, The Daily Green and Hells Kitchen Cannabis Co. post no holiday hours, and Qube Times Square's site did not load on 23 Oct 2026. In the Bronx, Herbwell on Fordham Road posts no holiday hours, and the sites of BX Buddiez, Conbud and Guardian Wellness did not load.
In San Francisco, Cannavine SF, The Apothecarium on Howard Street and Moe Greens post no holiday hours, and Barbary Coast's pages open only behind an age check, so its site could not be read. In Hayward, Garden of Eden and Cookies post none, and We Are Hemp's site also opens only behind an age check, so it could not be read. For Belmont, Juva in Redwood City says it is closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day each year, Cannavine Belmont and Flor Redwood City post nothing, and Canna-Bel's site loads its text only in a browser, so it could not be read.
In Sonoma and Mendocino counties, Phenotopia's FAQ points to its Google profile for holiday hours, Cannavine Santa Rosa and Jane Dispensary post none, and SPARC's case is set out above. In Ukiah, Cannavine Ukiah, Kure and Heritage Mendocino post no holiday hours, and Vibe by California's site did not load on 23 Oct 2026.
In the Central Valley, KOLAS Arden in Sacramento says it is open daily from 7 am to 9 pm, including holidays. Toasty, All About Wellness, A Therapeutic Alternative and Embarc Sacramento post no holiday hours, and Mainstage's site opens only behind an age check, so it could not be read. In Tracy, Garden of Eden, Tracy Farms, Embarc Tracy, X1 and STIIIZY post no holiday hours, and Tracy Cannabis Collective's website was offline.
In Los Angeles, seven shops, STIIIZY DTLA, MMD Hollywood, Green Goddess Collective, CCA Silverlake, The Ounce, Traditional LAX and Fig Trees, post no holiday hours, and The Artist Tree Koreatown's site did not load. In San Diego, Puff-N-Dash City Heights has its page on March and Ash's site, whose FAQ says delivery capacity may be limited at busy times such as weekends or holidays; HiKei Downtown, Klover, both Wellgreens stores, BUZZ Cannabis Sorrento Valley and Urbn Leaf San Ysidro post no holiday hours. The eight Las Vegas shops are set out in the section above.

Green Wednesday: the day before Thanksgiving
The cannabis calendar peaks on 20 April and then on the day before Thanksgiving. Headset, which compiles point-of-sale data from dispensaries across the US markets it tracks, lists the five biggest sales days of the past year on its statistics page, last updated on 3 October 2026: 20 April 2026 at $135.3 million, twice the $67.5 million average day; 26 November 2025, the day before Thanksgiving, at $114.0 million, 1.7 times average; Black Friday, 28 November 2025, at $108.1 million; 3 July 2026 at $105.4 million; and 4 September 2026, the Friday before Labor Day, at $104.8 million. Headset's reading of the list: every peak except 4/20 is the day before a holiday, not the holiday itself. The page says its figures refresh on a recurring schedule, so they move.
Green Wednesday has grown in each year Headset measured: its November 2024 analysis put the day's sales 33 percent above an average Wednesday in 2021, 48 percent in 2022 and 52 percent in 2023, and on the 2023 Green Wednesday edibles sales rose 10.5 percent while concentrates fell 11 percent. Thanksgiving Day went the other way, with sales as much as 70 percent below an average Thursday in 2023, and Black Friday came in 3 to 5 percent below an average Friday.
For a visitor in 2026, the timing to aim for is Tuesday 24 Nov or early on Wednesday 25 Nov, inside the shop's normal hours. Order ahead where the shop offers pickup, and check the delivery cut-off on the shop's own page: Garden of Eden says to order by 7 pm for same-day delivery, and Nicklz says to order before 9 pm. Expect a line by Wednesday afternoon.

Delivery on a holiday
Delivery keeps the counter's clock in California and New York. A California retailer may deliver only from 6 am to 10 pm, with the driver back at the premises by 10 pm, so an order placed at 9:30 pm on Thanksgiving evening is unlikely to arrive that night. New York delivery has no window of its own and runs within the dispensary's licensed hours, even into a town that bans stores or closes them earlier.
Holiday closures can cover delivery too. Juva, which delivers across much of the San Francisco Peninsula, says under its delivery question that deliveries run 9 am to 9 pm seven days a week and that it is closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day each year. Garden of Eden takes same-day orders until 7 pm, and March and Ash says its delivery capacity may be limited at busy times such as weekends or holidays. Order the day before and keep a store visit as the fallback.
Other states set their own delivery clocks. Colorado bars deliveries from midnight to 8 am (Rule 3-245); Massachusetts requires them to be finished between 7 am and 11 pm, a window a town may narrow but not widen (935 CMR 500.145(1)(n)); and Oregon requires the order by 8 pm and the delivery between 8 am and 9 pm (OAR 845-025-2880). In Michigan and Nevada a delivery must fall within the store's own business hours (R 420.207; NAC 678B.321). New Jersey towns' power over hours stops short of a licensed delivery service's times, and Florida treatment centers may deliver to qualified patients at any hour.

Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's
Christmas Eve, Thursday 24 Dec 2026, is the evening most likely to bring an early close. SPARC listed it as one when this guide read its FAQ on 5 Oct 2026. Christmas Day falls on Friday 25 Dec. Juva says it closes that day every year, while Purple Lotus names Christmas Eve and Christmas Day among the days its two San Jose stores open, KOLAS in Sacramento says its hours include holidays, and Planet 13 and 420 Sahara in Las Vegas say they are open around the clock on holidays. Buy by 23 Dec if you need something for both days.
Purple Lotus names New Year's Day, Friday 1 Jan 2027, among the days it opens, KOLAS, Planet 13 and 420 Sahara say their hours include holidays, and SPARC's FAQ listed New Year's Day as closed on 5 Oct 2026. New Year's Eve, Thursday 31 Dec, is where the state clocks differ most. State rules stop sales at 10 pm in California, Oregon and Connecticut, at 11 pm in Ohio and Maryland, and at midnight in Washington and Colorado. Past midnight, Illinois allows sales to 2 am where local zoning permits, Minnesota bars them from 2 am and lets a city or county stop them earlier, and New York bars 2 am to 8 am unless the town allows those hours; Qube listed hours to 2 am on 5 Oct 2026. In Las Vegas the clock is the store's own: four of the eight listed shops said on 23 Oct 2026 that they are open 24 hours, and The Grove, whose site did not load that day, listed 24 hours daily in an Internet Archive copy of 12 Jun 2026.

How to check a shop's holiday hours
Start with the shop's own website, then its Google profile, where some shops post changes their sites never carry; Phenotopia's FAQ sends shoppers there for holiday hours. Then call the number on the shop's own page. Several states require the hours to be posted at the store: New York inside the premises, Nevada, Maryland and Arizona where customers enter, and Ohio conspicuously on the licensed premises, so a recent photo of the door sign is a fair check too.
Shop profiles on this guide take regular hours from the shop's own site and add a note when its pages disagree, and a profile with no hours means they could not be confirmed there. Holiday hours change every year, often in the final week, which is why this guide quotes only what each shop has said and dates each check.

Questions
Are dispensaries open on Thanksgiving?
Some are, and no state hours rule among the 21 this guide covers decides it, though Massachusetts's holiday law bars most stores there from opening that day without a permit. Thanksgiving falls on Thursday 26 Nov 2026. Juva in Redwood City says it closes that day, while Purple Lotus in San Jose, KOLAS in Sacramento, and Planet 13 and 420 Sahara in Las Vegas say their hours include holidays; most other listed shops say nothing. Headset found Thanksgiving Day sales as much as 70 percent below an average Thursday in 2023, so buy on Wednesday 25 Nov.

Are dispensaries open on Christmas Day?
Some close, and in Massachusetts the state's holiday law bars most stores from opening on Christmas Day without a permit. Juva says it closes on Christmas Day each year, and SPARC's FAQ listed Christmas Day as closed and Christmas Eve as an early close when this guide read it on 5 Oct 2026. Purple Lotus says both San Jose stores open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, KOLAS in Sacramento says its hours include holidays, and Planet 13 and 420 Sahara in Las Vegas say they stay open on holidays. Christmas Day falls on Friday 25 Dec 2026, so check the shop's own page on 23 Dec and buy then if you need something.

Are dispensaries open on New Year's Day?
That is up to each shop. New Year's Day is Friday 1 Jan 2027. Purple Lotus names it among the days both San Jose stores open, KOLAS, Planet 13 and 420 Sahara say their hours include holidays, and SPARC's FAQ listed it as closed when this guide read it on 5 Oct 2026. On New Year's Eve, California stops every sale at 10 pm, while in New York a shop may sell until 2 am unless the city allows later hours.

What is Green Wednesday?
The day before Thanksgiving, which falls on 25 Nov 2026, and the second-biggest cannabis sales day of the year. Headset's point-of-sale data put 26 Nov 2025 at $114.0 million across the 16 state markets it tracks, 1.7 times an average day, behind 4/20 at $135.3 million and ahead of Black Friday at $108.1 million.

Can a dispensary stay open late on New Year's Eve?
It depends on the state. California, Oregon and Connecticut stop sales at 10 pm on a Thursday, Ohio and Maryland at 11 pm, and Washington and Colorado at midnight. Illinois allows sales to 2 am where local zoning permits, Minnesota bars them from 2 am and lets a city stop them sooner, and New York bars 2 am to 8 am unless the city allows it. In Las Vegas, Planet 13 and 420 Sahara say they are open 24 hours, holidays included.

Does cannabis delivery run on holidays?
Yes, if the shop runs deliveries that day. California allows delivery from 6 am to 10 pm, with drivers back by 10 pm; New York delivery follows the dispensary's hours; Colorado bars deliveries from midnight to 8 am; and Massachusetts requires them between 7 am and 11 pm. Juva says its deliveries run 9 am to 9 pm daily but that it closes on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Order the day before.

Do dispensaries have Thanksgiving deals?
That is each shop's own decision, and this guide does not list prices or promotions. What Headset's data does show is the crowd: the day before Thanksgiving is the second-biggest sales day of the year, and edibles sales rose on Green Wednesday 2023. For 2026, shop on Tuesday 24 Nov or early on Wednesday 25 Nov, inside the shop's normal hours.

Where do I find a shop's holiday hours?
Check the shop's own website first, then its Google profile, then call. Phenotopia, for one, sends shoppers to its Google profile for holiday hours. New York requires a dispensary to post its hours conspicuously inside the store, and Nevada, Maryland and Arizona require them where customers enter, so the door sign is a record too.

Are Las Vegas dispensaries open 24 hours on holidays?
Some say so. Planet 13 says it is open every hour of every day, 365 days a year, holidays included, and 420 Sahara says it is a 24-hour shop open on all holidays. CannaStarz and Nevada Made Marijuana Charleston also list 24-hour opening but do not mention holidays. Nevada sets no statewide closing time: each store sells during the hours it filed with the Cannabis Compliance Board and its city or county allows.

Does any state close dispensaries on Thanksgiving or Christmas?
No state hours rule among the 21 this guide covers names a holiday. Some set a daily window, such as California's 6 am to 10 pm or Washington's 8 am to midnight, and others, including Nevada, New Jersey and Massachusetts, leave hours to the store and its town. Within those limits each shop decides, except in Massachusetts, whose common day of rest law bars most retail stores from opening on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day without a permit (M.G.L. c. 136, ss. 5, 13, 15 and 16). Florida, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma and Texas sell only through medical programs, and none of the medical cannabis statutes or rules this guide read for them sets a holiday closure.
Source: app.leg.wa.gov
Are dispensaries open on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve?
Most shops this guide lists publish no change for either evening, but early closes happen. Christmas Eve is Thursday 24 Dec 2026 and New Year's Eve Thursday 31 Dec. Purple Lotus names Christmas Eve among the days its San Jose stores open, while SPARC's FAQ listed Christmas Eve as an early close when this guide read it on 5 Oct 2026. On New Year's Eve the state clock still applies: sales stop at 10 pm in California and Oregon, 11 pm in Ohio and Maryland, and midnight in Washington.

Can I buy cannabis on a holiday in Florida, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma or Texas?
Only as a patient registered in that state's medical program. Florida bars dispensing from a store between 9 pm and 7 am on any day but lets treatment centers deliver to qualified patients 24 hours a day. Oklahoma offers patients with another state's card a license valid up to 30 days. Pennsylvania's Medical Marijuana Act and Texas's Compassionate-Use Act set no dispensing hours, and none of the statutes or rules this guide read for the four states sets a holiday closure.

Read the guide →Before you buy
- First dispensary visitWhat ID works in California and New York, why the counter scans it, what the law says about first-time deals, and which taxes appear on your receipt.
- Do dispensaries take credit cards? Most licensed dispensaries in California and New York take cash and debit, not credit cards, because of federal law and the card networks' rules. Bring cash or debit, or link a bank account to a pay-by-bank app first.
- Are dispensaries open on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day?YOU ARE HEREMassachusetts law shuts most stores on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day; elsewhere each shop decides. Juva closes on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day; Purple Lotus, KOLAS, Planet 13 and 420 Sahara say they open.
