Federal law
Cannabis bought at an adult-use shop in California or New York is still a Schedule I controlled substance under U.S. federal law. A federal rule that took effect on 28 Apr 2026 moved only FDA-approved marijuana drugs and marijuana covered by a state medical marijuana license to Schedule III (Federal Register, 28 Apr 2026). State licenses allow adult-use sales under state law only.

No sales, and no legal or medical advice
This publisher does not sell, deliver, or manufacture cannabis, and does not take orders for any shop. Nothing on this site is legal, medical, or tax advice, a diagnosis, or a claim that cannabis treats any condition, and reading it does not create an attorney-client relationship.
Rules can change
Purchase limits, consumption rules, and taxes are summaries of public statutes and regulator guidance, cited on each page. Confirm them with the Department of Cannabis Control (California) or the Office of Cannabis Management (New York).
Regulators and license checks
Every shop we list holds a state license we checked in the regulator's public data. Each shop profile shows its license number and the date we last checked it. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by either regulator or any other government agency.
Advertising
None of the 114 licensed shops we list pays us; every one is listed because it is licensed. If we sell paid partner listings, each will be advertising: it will carry a PAID PARTNER label wherever it appears, its links to its own website will be marked sponsored, and payment will not change which shops we list or their order.
Paid partner listings for New York shops show the warnings New York requires on cannabis advertising (9 NYCRR 129.2, OCM guidance): the age and Poison Center warning and one rotating health warning in a yellow box, followed by the New York State HOPELine.
Names and trademarks
Shop names, brands, and logos belong to their owners. We use them only to identify licensed shops.
